Michael Cullen Photographer, filmmaker, stage director.
Michael, who is from England, has over 25 years experience in photography, film and stage production. Starting his career in advertising and newspapers he went freelance after 4 years. He freelanced for BBC Television and soon joined them full-time as a Graphics Photographer which meant that much of his work was used ON-SCREEN as programme content. This allowed him to work in all formats from 16mm to 8"x10" on a wide range of programmes from high drama to arts, science, documentaries and children's.
It also involved shooting in both studio and on location so he is familiar with all types of lighting and other equipment.
Whilst with BBCtv he wrote and directed his own 60" drama and, after attending the BBC Drama Director's Course, tranferred to BBC Television Training as a director where he made over 30 shorts on both film and video, mainly training and educational productions on topics including set design, special FX, make-up and graphics.
